Easter Egg Hunt turns violent thanks to overcompetitive moms

Tuesday 2nd April 2013 | Osh

Mothers always claim they know what’s best for their child. But sometimes you just can’t help but disagree. Like when said mother shoves a kid so her own can win some Easter eggs, or when the mother of the shoved kid punches her in response.

The fight broke out Sunday afternoon at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo. According to a statement by the Seattle Police Department, “the shoving sparked a confrontation between the first woman (the supposed shover) and the second child’s mother, who began fighting and had to be separated three or four times. The brawl left the first woman with a bloody nose”.

To make matters worse, there was also lots of cursing involved during the two not-so-mature women’s brawl, which left several children at the event crying, and probably mentally scarred for quite a while.

The second women had fled the scene by the time the police arrived at the zoo, and the first woman (the one who shoved the child) has said that she wasn’t interested in pressing charges.

And that’s it for this year’s Easter drama. Hope you guys had a festive, less violent one!
