Saint
Interview with Saint
Saint has emerged from the underground rap scene and the last decade has been a whirlwind for the rap Holman. We saw him Jump Off for killer battles MC Asassin and other big names that has attracted thousands of views over youtube.
So we thought it be nice to know what was crackalackin with the guy and asked him a few questions.
1. You always have to be on your toes for the battles you go into, what’s your most embarrassing battle experience?
When I first started battling some guy called Too Much tried to slap me on stage during a battle, that was quite hard to take in front of 3000 people.
The urban music festival 2004, I beat professor green and a lot of other well-known battlers to become the UK champion in front of 32,000 people including jay-z who I got to meet after. He told me I’m the best he had seen in the UK, that helped my confidence a lot.
No, we would rap together and smoke behind the school gates and had dreams of success but never thought we would ever take it this far. N-Dubz are the biggest urban/pop group in the UK, and I’m respected as one of the best battlers in the UK. Its time for me to go mainstream now and sell a lot of units
When I went on a 24 bus to the West End with my mum and about 10 little kids came running to the top deck and started screaming ‘are u SAINT?’ That was a proud moment for me, as my mum was there to witness it first hand.
My single being released with N-Dubz, a collaboration with Sway, a massive street banger ft. Ghetto and Tinie Temper and with the size of the N-Dubz fan base it looks like I might be hitting the charts very soon!
Me in between Beyonce & Shakira! With a cup of tea on the side!
