Places to visit in London
LEICESTER SQUARE:
Leicester Square (and the right pronunciation is Lesta, not Leisesta how, many times, many foreigners pronounce it) is a pedestrian Square in West End of London.
It’s in the middle of four very important places in London - Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden and Cambridge Circus, as well as several old cinemas and theatre nearby.
But apart from that “Matter of Information” its a cool place to visit, or to spend time chilling.
You can breathe/feel a nice and relaxed atmosphere in the park situated in the middle of the Square. While during the night, the lights, especially the ones of the Empire Theatre create a suggestive atmosphere that seems to bring you for a while in a romantic film of the past.
NOTTING HILL GATE:
When you come in London you can’t leave the city before you have visited the very famous Notting Hill, especially if you come in August because on these streets every year, since the 1966, takes place the massive Carnival, considered the second largest street festival in the World with a turnout of 2 million people every year.
Notting Hill streets, made even more famous by the film staring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant, feature the world known Portobello Market: two miles of antique stalls, food stalls, and more! Lining both sides of the street there are lots of lovely Vintage and “very English Stlye” little shops that a Vintage lover cant miss! There you can find the strangest thing at a very low cost!
Of course all of this shopping can tire you, so why not relax and take a break in a typical English pub on the way?!
While instead for the street style lovers a little pearl not to miss is the “Playstation skate park”. A place where you can meet cool people whilst comfortably seated on a sofa watching skaters’ tricks surrounded by a fair amount of a stylish graffiti - why not! You may even come across some free punk rock or drum and bass music compilation! (Never Refuse Music especially if it’s free!) And no worries about the summer rain, the park is sheltered by a bridge!
MARKET PLACE:
One of the best bars with fresh and young staff in Central London, in a pretty and well attended square just behind Oxford Street. Its a perfect place to have a drink, try some of their appetizing food and start off the night! There are different hip dj’s and music every night that takes place in the basement of the club. A funky motto (welcoming positive vibrant relaxing cheecky energetic!) for a funky place!
COVENT GARDEN:
Welcome to Covent Garden! One of the prettiest districts in London.
Covent Garden is of course one the most popular tourist attractions because of its fashionable boutiques, bars, restaurants and cafès in the large glass covered building, while in the open piazza - the only area of London licensed for street entertainment - you can find delightful performers such as mime artists and jugglers from around the world.
A really nice place where you can find present for friends and family to take home at the end of an amazing London trip!
